Thanks Santhoshini & Radv for your recepies. Yet another: This is a quick fry recipe i got from Padhuskitchen. Ingredients needed Button Mushrooms -150 grams Capsicum -1 (optional) Onions -2 Garlic -3 cloves (finely chopped) Oil -1 tbsp Black pepper powder to taste Salt Preparation: Cut mushroom , clean & chop it into medium pieces.Heat oil (no seasoning required) add onion, garlic and saute till onions turn light brown. Then add capsicum and cook for a few more minutes. Add chopped mushrooms and cook covered on low flames stirring now and then.(no need to add water as mushroom oozes out water) After it is slightly cooked, add required salt and pepper and cook till all the water evaporates. Enjoy with roti or any flavored rice.
Like Mushroom-Capsicum sabzi given above Brinjal-Capsicum sabzi can also be made. Only deep fry brinjal pieces before adding to onion-ginger-green chilli mix. Add little tomato purée to it along with salt, haldi, coriander and garam masala powder, mix and simmer for 2-3 minutes and it is good to go with plain rice or chapati.
Good old hostel style egg burji or Mandarin style scrambled eggs with tofu or lebanese eggs with peta cheese and spinach...and if you have 15 mins.. then japanese egg dish called "chawanamushi"..
