Hello all ILs, we all are aware of Rava idlis, so simple to make but needs overnight preparations.. have a quick and healthy substitute which my family liked.. Oats idli Oats powder (i advise that whoever use oats in their home, please do keep some oats powderd...comes very handy) Dalia or cracked wheat (powdered preferred) Sooji curd salt baking soda or eno fruit salt (a pinch) For tadka Sarson (kadugu), chana dal (kadalai paruppu), dry red chilli 2- 3, hing (perungayam), oil, cashew (optional) Mix all the dry ingredients together with curd and keep the batter (consistency should be like idli batter) aside for sometime, dont add the soda now. prepare the tadka and put this in the mixture. AFter 15-20 mins add soda and mix in one direction only. Grease the idli plates and steam them for 15 min or till cooked. Serve hot Eat right and stay fit love n regards Kadambari

tried it today-added chooped beans,carrot & peas-tasted good-thanks!!! and prepared idli in a jiffy!!!!
