Questions on H4 to F1?

Sad to hear about the situation you are in.
I hope that the things would have worked fine for you by now.
Please keep us posted on any new development as lot of folks are in similar situation.

My wife is pursuing her MS in Comp Science for last one and a half year and about to wrap it up in another six months.
She got her visa transferred from H4 to F1 before the beginning of her MS. She has been a research assistant since the time of her admission.
We are planning to visit our parents in India in December (same as your case).
We are in process of scheduling an appointment at US Embassy in New Delhi.

After reading about your case, I am planning to provide the property document stating the immovable property amount associated with my name.
Do you think that:
- Science and Business students are treated differently. (As per your post, you are pursuing business studies).
- Having F1 and assistantship from the beginning of the course is helpful.

Another quick question.

Has your husband already applied for Green Card or if his I-140 is in process? That could have been the cause as well !!!

Hi Megha,
Can you please update on your situation as i am also in similar situation. I did my 1st sem on h4 and converted to f1 during second semester. Am planning to vist india(delhi) in summer. Please let me know.
