query regarding treadmill effect

    Hello friends,
    i use treadmill for daily for 60mins and sometimes more.. my family and friends says.. treadmill should not be used more than 15mins or it will hurt the knees in long run . am now stuck, am so used to treadmill.. i dont go for walk outside.

    You know what. I've heard the same about running outside too. The trick is to get the right footwear. In the context of running outdoors, I get fitted for proper running shoes and run in them. I Just visit a local running store for the same. If you have one in your area why don't you call and ask them for suggestions. They will be able to tell you if there are shoes for treadmill use.

    Long periods of cardio results in muscle loss along with fat loss. Knee issues are so prone with longer treadmill durations. Always include various strength training exercises along with reasonable treadmill durations...
