query on baby's weight

    My daughter is 5 months old. Her weight is only 6.2kg. She is formula fed. Pls can some one suggest on increasing her weight.

    Since your baby is 5 months old i think u can start giving foods like mashed banana, Ragi kanji mix , biscuits dipped and mashed in formula or breast milk. These are the foods you can start around 5 months and continue the same until your little one is 6-6.5 months old.
    Is she active? then don't worry about the weight. You can increase it easily.
    Babies really like banana very much. But don't give banana when she is having cold or cough.

    @sitamum What was her birth weight? If she has doubled her birth weight then she is good. What does the paed say?

    She was 2.98 Kg. Paed says she is fine as she is very active.They say NOT to worry about weight.

    Until the kid is active, no need to worry about the weight. Anyway you can check the weight with the weight chart.
