    Hello
I inadvertently bought a LOT of putana dal..and am not sure what to do with them now!
I don't make coconut chutney very often..and would appreciate any suggestions as to how to use this!
    Thanks very much in advance.

    Hi
If you like sweets, you can make ma ladoo with that.
Grind it to a fine powder. Grind sugar separately to a fine powder according to taste. Mix both together. Heat ghee and fry cashew nuts. Add hot ghee to above mixture and make balls like rava ladoo. you can add elaichi powder too. Its healthy and will get over in minutes.

I also add to my veg. kurma (grind along with coconut, saunf etc)

    Hope above suggestion helps.

iam from north but husband is from south, my mil makes some powder with this...

    i tired this..

    fried chanadal – 250gms
    Sugar – 200 gms
Cardamom powder / elachi powder– 1 tsp
    Ghee – 100 gms
    dry fruits - your choice

Clean and grind putana dal into fine powder. Grind the sugar along with cardamoms into fine powder. Mix them both in a bowl. Melt the ghee and pour into the mixture and mix well. Take fistful of this mixture and press hard to make round and smooth laddus. You can add finely cut dryfruits and add to the mixture before making laddu’s. Leave them to dry for half an hour and store in airtight jar or box.. Really these laddus are delicious and just melt in the mouth..
