Hi Puneri bandhu... I am new to Pune will like to chit chat with you all on shopping restaurant and problems and solutions Hope you all chip in and help me and other newbies know and love the mystic Pune
Hi, I haven't done much shopping in Pune.....but the areas for shopping are Laxmi road Tulsi baug area Malls Also, depends on what you are looking for and in what range. There are lot of boutiques too now. Hospitals: Ruby, Jahangir, Inlaks are the famous ones in our area.
My activities are a little different from what normally the others do. I run a boutique from home "Shop for a cause", where we have lots of stuff from which make good gifts/return gifts. Most of the stuff is eco-friendly, also this runs on the concept for the ladies, by the ladies off the ladies. Also, the proceeds are used for a cause. Currently we are running a drive to promote 100% organic colors for holi made from rice flour and turmeric. they are skin friendly and non-irritant unless someone has rice flour or turmeric allergy or the flower/fruit/vegetable base that we use to make these colors. Here too these colors are made by ladies from socially backward grounds and this is a small source of income for them. We also help organise holi events in mumbai and pune for the disprivileged children, where we not just encourage monetary donations, but people from good families to bring their children to play holi with these kids. Again the colors used are the organic ones that we promote and also arrange for some snacks for these kids. I can go on listing my activites here .....but am not sure if i can mention them here, as its against the rules of the forum. Basically our activities involves working for the society, in whatever way possible, like, promoting stuff that is environ friendly, giving opportunities to ladies, who have the knack to do something and a drive to earn money and make a good living for her family rather than going to the streets and begging or doing menial jobs. It gives a kind of self satisfaction as well.
