Re: Puja Format Hello ladies, I try to chant Vishnu sahasranamam everyday. I have made a new friend near our home and she tells me that she chants lalitha sahasranamam and that is the most powerful shlokam which I also agree with.That's why I am trying to learn it now. She also said that Vishnu sahasramam should only be chanted by men? Is that true? Any thoughts?
Re: Puja Format Thank you, Chithra mami for the extremely detailed Varalakshmi puja! I can't imagine anywhere else with such painstaking and loving explanations. Now, I realize I should have checked sooner about how long or complicated this puja would be. I see now that we don't have most of the required things (starting with no varalakshmi ammam or image!) So I think we will go to the nearby temple and participate in their puja. In that case, what should I do at home? Should I go ahead and cook the things mentioned, do kolam, wear a new sari... anything else? Thank you!
Re: Puja Format Nice to know that you do earnestly want to participate in the puja. In case you are going to temple, make a(ny) sweet at home, offer it to God & take it to the temple to give as prasadam to the other participants. Love, Chithra.
