it is called "karuvapatta" or "Elavanga Tholi"(Malayalam) or "dalchini" (Hindi). Cinnamon in english. and Pattai in Tamil. Soothes indigestion, controls blood sugar in diabetics, prevents stomach ulcers, wards off urinary tract infections, fights tooth decay and gum disease, prevents vaginal yeast infections.
