Hello All, A client of mine is interested in having someone work-from-home to do Public Relations for his small business. What is the job? - Establish contacts with writers/reporters in newspapers & magazines that cover the topic of my client's business. My client will guide on the places to look for contacts. You will then send introductory emails and establish a relationship. - Understand my client's business and find unique things in my client's business that might be of interest for newspapers and magazines. You and my client will brainstorm in coming up with such "news peg" items. You will then pitch these stories to the newspaper & magazine contact and encourage them to write about it. - My client does a lot of events that the media will find interesting. - There will be lots of emails and phone conversations. This job can be done from home and no travel is needed. The job can be based anywhere in India. Who will be ideal? - Excellent Written Communication Skills as there will be a lot of email communication. - Very good oral communication skills, particularly being able to have a good phone conversation with media contacts. - Good interpersonal skills. Be able to relate well to others and build an informal relationship with work colleagues. - Good Project Management skills. Once a media contact agrees to do a story, this person needs to ensure that the project is completed. Compensation? An Hourly rate will be agreed and will be paid through paypal/check monthly.
