    Hi Navis,

All the details you need can be got by calling them.

The number is on the website.
    Al Shaheen Library

The fee details however is out dated and not correct.

I have taken 4 months membership. Its 60 AED plus a 100 AED refundable deposit. Also there is some 10 AED administration charge. Each book may cost you around 1 to 7 AED per week.

    Navis,

Shaheen library is in Abu Dhabi, Electra Street, if i am not wrong
just call their no. for exact location
they are open on weekends as well
and they have different types of membership
the one i took was for 6 months
on top of the fees you have to pay rental charges for the books you take to read
may be 2 dhs per book depending on the book you chose

they will explain this all if you call up

the books there are purely fiction and non-fiction type
if you are looking for a more serious membership, go for national library
that one is more study oriented i think

i took membership for my daughter, she likes to read
    and books here are expensive
but travelling is a bit difficult since we dont go often to city
and there are late charges also
