    I thank you, Induslady !

I am thrilled ( to put it mildly) with your participation !
Your most favourite proverb, cannot but be, my least favourite for very obvious reasons, not quoted here - a forum full of DILs & perhaps, just a handful of MILs !
I happily acknowledge your participation with the following pazhamozhi which says it all !
    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

    வசிஷ்டர் வாயால் பிரம்ம ரிஷி !

    Tamil Corner

    Dear Chithra,
I was thinking to start a thread in Tamilnadu forum to learn some Tamil. I have learned Tamil alphabets when I was in up classes.(now I forgot). My father bought some Tamil children's magazines for us. I still remember the first sentence I read was "valarum vayadil kuzhandaikalkku kevai, Complan" :-D ..Am not sure this is correct..
    Chithra and Latha,
When we little girls are here, you both young ladies are calling each other, Kuttee, Molae..etc. ithu sariyalla kettoo..
    Love you,
    Seena.

Pazhamozhi apt for my Rasam venture !

    Dear All,

The Pazhamozhi Thread is growing more and more interesting..........

Well, Let me start off relating one of the pazhamozhi in my day to day life. ! Though its a very silly incident, I relate this pazhamozhi everytime to this particular incident!

My hubby is very fond of his mom's samaiyal and particularly her Rasam, however hard I try to make yummy rasam for him, he always calls my rasam "hot water"...I keep telling him the day when he accepts my rasam as rasam, that would be big honour for me and would equate that to "வசிஷ்டர் வாயால் பிரம்ம ரிஷி" Pattam. Sadly, I haven't got the title yet !

    Love,
    Preethi

Ithu sari thannae, Seene kunjae !

I am sure, Seena, that you are upset about not being able to read this thread !
    Hence your retort !!

Rest assured that we are still young in spirit which counts more in an open forum - don't you agree ?
Are you feeling a "wee bit" J, seena ? It is but natural & I excuse you because you are so close to me, Kunjae!

    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

Preethi, say this to your husband !

Try to put "ice" on him, by saying
    உயர உயரப் பறந்தாலும் ஊர்க்குருவி பருந்து ஆகுமா?

Tell him, though you are aware that none can match his mother as a Rasam Specialist, you still hope to become a parundu one day !

    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

The apt proverb for you, now, is
    ஆடற மாட்டை ஆடிக் கற
    பாடற மாட்டைப் பாடிக் கற !

    இது எப்படி இருக்கு ?

    Good Quotes !

    Well Chitra,

The pazhamozhi's quoted are quite apt , well I will try using your first pazhamozhi hereafter to suite the scenario and see his reaction ! Though husbands mostly dont complaint and enjoy wife's receipes, they always have some Special receipes which, when prepared only by their mother, they seem to enjoy the most ! (another to add in that list is my maamiyaar's idly molagaipodi)..

I am keen on making him say En Rasam soooooper one day or the other, I am not ready to give up ! I still believe in "Muyarchi Thirunaiaagum"....

    Love
    Preethi

    I continue, Preethi !

Now, a suggestion, assuming you are newly married. When serving him rasam, use your charm to your best advantage. Here again,

That was a nice idea from Preethi. You started of now itself with all your proverbs.

You called Seena kunje and where is seena now... near the ceiling... Hey Seena, come down!!!
