In a dense jungle, a lion proudly claimed, “I am the king of this jungle!” He asked every animal that came before him to acknowledge his supremacy.

First came the snake, who said, “Yes, you are the king.” Then the deer, the rabbit, and many others said the same. All were quick to praise him.

Finally, the elephant appeared. The lion asked, “Do you recognize me as the king?” The elephant kept walking, not saying a word. The lion shouted, demanding a response. Without stopping, the elephant turned and struck the lion with his trunk. The lion fell, breaking his ribs, and asked angrily, “I just asked a question! Why did you hit me?”

    The elephant calmly replied:

“This is my answer. Let your actions speak louder than words.”

The lesson is clear: you don’t need to argue or seek approval. Prove your capability through your work, achievements, and actions — especially in the face of insults or challenges.

Thiru Kural: “Aram seyyum manidhanin arivu iyal nallathu, varam seyyum manidhanin vali illai.”
(Kural 391 – “The wise and virtuous person’s deeds are their true measure; one’s strength is shown by righteous action, not mere words.”)

Just as the elephant demonstrated, let your success and competence be your reply.
