These words brought tears into my eyes. Even though we consider animals as inferior to human life due to man's ability to discriminate and pursue God, they do have the ability to see the Holiness of God and His place of worship.

'Muhammad means the one who is worthy and deserving of praise and none was ever named by this name before him.The Prophet (peace be upon Him) was also known as Ahmad, which means the one who has praiseworthy qualities…both names from the same root word “Hamd” which means praise. It is said that He (peace be upon Him) was named “Ahmad” by his mother Aaminah"

Thanks for sharing the significance of these two names. Every human being has a duty to lead an ideal and purposeful life to show gratitude to God who gave an opportunity to us to transform and redeem ourselves. The Prophet has sacrificed way too much in His life to give a great lesson for all of us how to be unaffected by the worldly happenings.

Wherever the holy messanger of God lives, He will always bring prosperity to people around Him. The Will and Intent of the Messenger of God will bring peace and prosperity to everyone around Him.

Is this a message God wants to give to the humanity that there is satan in everyone and once those qualities are removed, one can become a messanger of God?

Honesty, Austerity, Bravery, Perseverance and Optimism are five great qualities humanity should inculcate from the Prophet as He demonstrated what transformation it can bring to a life and people around that life. Honesty brings aura to a life when austerity brings holiness to the life. Bravery, perseverance and optimism are qualities one needs to stay strong with to pursuing the goal in life.

It is interesting to read how many different ways Allah reveals Himself. In Hindu philosophy also there are six methods through which God can be realized. 1) Inference, 2) Comparison, 3) Non-apprehension, 4) Postulation, 5) Verbal testimony and 6) Perception.

Every time when the messenger of God preaches his revelations to his tribe or society, always, they face a lot of obstacles including from their own tribe. But mostly, the messengers determination including to sacrifice their own lives defines them to become a worshiped soul.

In Islam,we believe there are three types of 'self' (nafs) within us.

1:Carnal Soul (nafs ammarah) It is that part of our self that has desires, lust, greed, envy, pride, hypocrisy, anger and all such things. This type of 'self' always instigates and commands us towards evil.

2: Self reproaching soul (nafs lawammah) this is the 'self' that when commit a sin feel regret , guilt, embarrassment, they wish they could take it back, they wish they never did it.It is a battle with your own self to stay away from evil and do good.sometimes we win, sometimes we lose.

3: Tranquil soul (nafs mutmainah) this is the 'self' that is at peace and content. This soul is pleased in the pleasure and obedience of God.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) is reported to have said:

The greatest jihad (struggle) is to battle your own soul, to fight the evil within your own-self.

So as you have said ; we all have a part within us/ a satan with us which instigates us to do evil and whoever can safeguard oneself from all the vices is successful.

We and everything around us are the messengers of the God,if we could only realize. But in Islam by messenger/prophet,we mean a person to whom God speaks directly or through Angel Gabriel.

I hope you did not mind my unsought explanation :)

    sincere regards,
    yumna

Excellently explained! Thank you for this crystal clear response. It is so inspiring to see the teachings in various religions are giving the same answer. In Sanatana Dharma, the mind is divided into four parts: Manas (emotional mind), Buddhi (intellect), Chitta (memory/conscience) and Ahamkara (ego).

    1) In Sanatana Dharma, Arishadvargas, the six enemies of the mind are known as Kama (desire), Krodha (anger), Lobha (greed), Mada(arrogance), Moha(delusion), and Matsarya(jealous). These six negative qualities prevent a man from attaining moksha (realization of God).

    2) It is Intellect (discrimination power) that tells a Jiva (human life) what is right and wrong and it gets recognized by Chitta.

    3) Above all of these sukshuma Sareera (subtler body) (Sthoola Sareera consist of our physical body) is Chaitanya (Pure consciousness) that is immortal and indestructible.

I am so happy that you post such invaluable teachings from the life of the Prophet. I had a chance to listen to someone who taught me that Jihad is actually internal struggle where a battle takes place against enemies of bad qualities.
