    Hello All
My daughter who is a Sr in High school refuses to wear a dress for Prom. She wants to wear a suit. I checked a couple of websites(Zara, lulus) but nothing she likes. Any idea where I can look for. Appreciate all the replies and thanks in advance.

I’d look at Banana Republic, Gap, J Crew/ J Crew Factory or just head to the mall.

If by suit she means the kind of suit that most of the boys will be wearing to the prom or women wear at work for formal occasions, she should be very sure she wants to wear that, why she wants to, and that she is fine with being the only girl or one of the very few girls wearing a suit. If she is clear about what she wants to wear and can carry it off, nothing like it.

I'd suggest looking for a suit with some "party" feel to it. Something like:

SHEIN is a lifesaver in such situations if you don't mind shopping in that website. Read the reviews for each dress before buying. Wear once and give away.

"Party jumpsuits for women" shows some reasonable ones in Amazon.

How about some ethnic Indian party wear?

I get all my kid’s pant and suit from whirehouseblackmarket outlet near my home. it is one of the best place to get good suits for girls/women and quality is great. Check for outlet and see if you can find one . Since it is a prom will your kid like a shorts with a blazer ? I feel suits can be dressed as fancy , casual or formal based on your needs.

    Hi Laks
Never been to whitehouseblackmarket. Thanks for suggesting. Styles look awesome and there is a store close by to place and I will take her this weekend. My daughter already said NO to makeup/hairdo/heels so spending a couple of hundred dollars on suit is fine. Thanks again

    Hi Rihanna
Thanks for the links. She has jumpsuits on her mind too. Ordered couple from lulus and the chest was showing so said no. For her it’s comfort that’s what matters. She will be happy wearing sweatpants‍♀️
She has limited color choices and doesn’t like any bright colors and it’s challenging to find something for her.
I had an emergency visit to India last year around jr prom and she wore a buttoned up shirt with pant from her closet and she was totally fine with it. when I looked at the pictures she was the odd one out and I felt bad.
She doesn’t like to go Indian parties just because I force her to wear Indian clothes. I want her to wear something classy other than regular clothes, that’s all. I hope we find so,etching nice of her taste. Thanks again.
