problem with cooking rice

    Chanage the rice vessel (vertical type so that the rice have more space to come up without spilling) and use plate for dhal (a plate with a covering corner) exactly matching the vessel...

    Latha kishore,
    I tried your way of cooking dhal under and rice on top without lid.. It worked out. Rice didn't spill. I reduced
    the heat level from medium to level 4. I noticed that the water in the rice gets sprayed on the steam vent...
    Thank you so much for the feedback.. For the past 70 days i'm struggling with this and never thought of addressig it in IL forum.

    Cinderella,
    I tried cooking rice in the extremely tall vessel for a cup of rice. Then it works good. but i use pressure pan for cooking 3 of us and couldn' cook rice covered with lid...
