Private kindergarten and first grade

    Hi Ils,
    I have twin daughters who will turn 5 in the last week of sept this year. They will miss the public school kindergarten cut-off.

    If we put them in a private school for kindergarten, will they be able to move to first grade in the public school the coming year ?

    Are there any other possible options? In our state there is no VPK program.

    US is very particular about the age cutoff.
    Did you try Transitional Kinder garden? Most of the school districts are coming up with this concept?
