pregnancy and hyperthyroidism

hi all,

i am 8 weeks pregnant and doc just told me that i have hyperthyroidism. Can you please tell me your views on this. Have you been in the same situation. what are its effeects on the pregnancy and tge baby at large.

I am freaked out friends please help me. I am 33 amd this is my second pregnancy after 8 years.

I had a normal thyroid report 3 to 4 months back when i did my annual check up;

Mamaagain cool down, dont freak. Hyperthyrpidism will not effecgt your pregnancy if you take the prescribed medicine regularly. I too had this during pregnancy and still have. I took tablets regularly and no problem at all.

I had a normal thyroid report 4 months back. so since this condition developed after pregnancy would clear after delivery. Like i have heard of gestational diabetes

I am not hyper,it is hypothyroidism.Now she has checked on TSH , today she took blood for T4 T3 and also some antibodies test and she will update me after the test.[/FONT]
