There is a tablet called Primolu N or Primolut N which helps. one tab delays it by one day. but I don't think it should be taken often and not without consulting your doc.

Seetha - what is fried gram? i too would prefer a natural remedy for this.

The fried gram is a sure tested one, as long as you don't counter it with too much heat producing food like sesame seeds and all...

Primolut-N is a nice tablet but it disturbs your hormones..and long run side effects are very bad

 

Postponing the Periods date

Hello Everyone,

I am a new member and could not understand if I should raise this question under this section? Please bear with it if it has been posted in a wrong section.

I am going to India for Durga Puja where I am on a 10 days fast and 10 days’ Puja is being held at our place. My MIL is alone there and I need to manage lot many Puja activities and rituals and household during those times. My question is;

Though my periods are regular every month but dates have been fixed since last two months only. It falls on 30 of every month but not sure (it can get delayed by a week or even come a week early sometimes, mostly after a week). The Puja starts on 30th Sep, I have never used any medicines to postpone the periods and would like to know if such medicines have any side effects?

Also, if possible let me know the medicine name which is available at the counter.

hi...

u can postpone ur periods date by using tabs like Registron, Premolut-N etc...
if pooja is on 30th then take these tabs daily from ur suspected date of periods...so that they get postponed...
and the thing is ...whenever u stop taking these tabs ...immediate next day u will get ur periods...!!

Oh thanks a lot for the info.

Tell me one more thing, are these medicines available in India only or anywhere?
Coz names can differ from brand to brand may be composition is same.
My idea here is: does these medicines available globally or else I will try to find out if someone is coming from India?

All these medicines mentioned are different brands which contain progesterone. So you can ask if that is available OTC in HK. You need to take 5 mg progesterone once a day to postpone your periods. Take as long as you want them to be postponed. Periods will usually happen 2-3 days after you stop. If the birth control pill is available in HK OTC take 1 cycle (21 tabs) of that (time it so that you finish the cycle 2-3 days before whenever you want the period) - it will also do the same job.
