    Geethu,
    Congratulations on your LO's arrival.
True tht if you are BF, periods get delayed. But, dont leave a chance, try HPT first.

    Re: Regular Period

If you are BF then there might be some delay or some Irregularity in Periods.Dont worry. It might take almost an year to get in to Regular Pattern. I got my Periods nearly 6 months after my Child Birth only.

    PCOS and periods after delivery

    Hi all,

I delivered my little baby in November last year. My periods were irregular and I only conceived after taking Metformin since I had PCOS. I still have PCOS and when I consulted a doctor in India (since I am on maternity leave now), she told me to take meprate to get my periods.I havent got a period until now and I have taken meprate for 5 days last week (1 tablet in the night as prescribed) but havent got a period yet.

Any one who has taken this pill know how long it takes to get a period after taking it.My doctor said I should get it in 7 days but its more than 10 days now.

Also I have started getting lots of acne in the last one month and my tummy isnt reducing either after using tummy reducing belt?Any advise would help.

    Regards
    PW

Re: PCOS and periods after delivery

    PW,

I might not be of any help to you but just wanted to say I have same problem after delivery. Even I have PCOS and conceived on fertility treatments.I had a C-Section on February and yet to get my periods. I was cramping and getting acnes for past one week and so was expecting AF anytime now. Haven't met my gyn yet.

Btw, during TTC I used to take provera tablet for 5 days and generally I will get periods within a week. So I would suggest you to wait for 2 more days and contact your gyn.

    Regards,
    Malar
