Re: No Periods - 10 mnths of delivery

My son is 8 months old and I too havent got my periods after he was born.
I was getting a little concerned, but now am glad that it hasnt yet started because I read on this forum that the milk supply goes down.
I would like to feed my baby for atleast a year......so I hope my periods stay away!

Re: No Periods - 10 mnths of delivery

    Hello everybody,

I got my periods exactly after 30 days of delivery. I am already running low on milk and am using Lactare to supplement breast milk. Now, am concerned that this cycles will lead to less milk secretion to fill my baby's stomach.
Please do let me know what can be done so that I can exclusively breastfeed my kid atleast for 3 months.

    Thanks!
    Uma

    Re: Periods & Bf ing

    Hi
It is quiet normal..... If u r Bfing.

I got my periods after 4 months then 6 then 7 / 10 like that.
Till you are Bfing no probs, but be careful - lots of chances are there to get pregnant - so take precaution for that. ( since we cannot calculate the safe days).

Take care and give a tight kiss to the baby on my behalf.

    Regards
    Mrs.N

    Anitha,
Hope your son is doing great.
I second Jaya, if you are taking enough precautions, I dont see any issue as you are Bfing.
If not, better to chk out HPT!
