    You are correct. I think this too was something I did not like the way Mani portrayed. Kundhavai is very intelligent and knows what to do and what not to do, when to speak and when not to. To have her show as getting yelled at by Adhita does not reflect her personality. This scene should have been cut out of the movie and Adhita's love for Nandini should come out as per the book which he mentions to parthibendran.

    Even though its inserted, i dont think it puts Kundhavai in a bad light. She does explain assertively that she cares for the people more than her siblings. That statement was quite powerful in itself.

    Did kalki describe aditha karikalan as a drunkard? I don't remember...In chola chola song karikalan was so stylish...I didn't feel him as our tamil powerful prince...but vikram's performance was very nice...

    Actually there is another recent novel "Adhitya Karikalan Kolai Vazhakku" in which that author had portrayed Adhityan as drunkard and womanizer.
    In that novel, Kunthavai visits Karikalan to invite him and want him about the commotions/pandiya abathuthavigal.
    But this story doesn't have mentions of Nandhini.
    Jeya Mohan would have helped Mani in tweaking the story :)

    if someone is curious to know about the suspects, "Adhitya Karikalan Kolai Vazhakku" helps.
    For those who are so much indulged in Kalki's PS may not agree to the climax. But that brings in a different perspective.

    Back to Mani's PS - for me, its ok for one-time-watch.

    Watched the movie again. Few things I missed previously:
    1. Didn't realize the guy who got the Pandya assassin to Lanka was Karuthiruman
    2. Costumes were good but the crown looked like they were kings/prince/ cheftains from Rajasthan

    As per book, Karuthiruman is 'Paithiyakaran' stayed in Jail next to vandhiyadevan/Senthan amudhan jail room..
    Thats how sendhan amuthan comes to know his birth secret and later he only tells to azhwarkadiyan too..

    And Murugaiyan is poonguzhali's brother.. And his wife is rakkamma (Pandiya abathuthavi)
