Angry PM says Oppn holding up essential bills; vows more steps to deal with slowdown - Hindustan Times

Why did i not see any single thread on this???
Is it not the 8th wonder???
That our PM Mr Manmohan Singh lost his cool.
Last i saw his expression change to a slight smile when he and PAK PM were watching India Vs PAK in mauholi (WORLD CUP).That day India had won against PAK.
So yesterday Mr. Manmohan Singh not just lost his cool,he also used some unparlimentary language which had to be expunged from getting recorded in parliamentary books.

    So this is what happened.....

“…there is no reason for anybody to believe that we are going down the hill and that 1991 is on the horizon…”
Dr. Singh paused to look up from his notes. The noise in the House came down a notch. Dr. Singh resumed.
“…we expect a tapering of the US Federal reserve’s liquidity measures, which would…”
The noise climbed up once again and within seconds grew quite loud, acquiring a rhythmic quality, almost like a chant.
“…we would like to assure the country…”
What was that? Putting his notes aside, Dr. Singh strained his ears to make out what the members were chanting.
“PM chor hai… PM chor hai… PM chor hai…” the opposition benches chanted.
Hot, boiling blood rose to his head. His fist curled around the pen he was holding, crumpling the Monte Blanc pen like it were a mere piece of paper. His arms ballooned in size, stretching the sleeves of his safari suit, and tearing the fabric in at least a couple of spots.
Dr. Singh brought down his palm on the desk with an ear-splitting sound.
    “SHUT UP!!!!!!!!” he bellowed.
Silence befell the House instantly. Shell-shocked members across party lines stared at the avenging apparition they once knew as the Prime Minister.
“IS THIS HOW ONE BEHAVES IN THE TEMPLE OF DEMOCRACY??? HAS ANY OTHER NATION CALLED THEIR PRIME MINISTER A CHOR??? YOU GUYS STALL PARLIAMENT PROCEEDINGS AND BLAME US FOR GOVERNANCE? I AM NOT THE CUSTODIAN OF COAL FILES. TO HELL WITH YOU…”
For five minutes, fire poured out of Dr. Singh as it would from a flame-thrower, scorching everything in its path. MPs near the well of the House cowered under the desks, whereas those in the back benches withdrew to the far end of the House.
When he was done, those opposition MPs who were still standing looked at each other desperately, and finding no traces of resilience, fled out of the House. It would be hours before they would recover and term their flight as an indignant walk-out.

    Now my question....
Does our PM deserve to be called such bad names inside the parliament??
should he be held responsible for his ministers actions???
Does it prove that a "good" human being can never be a good PM to the country??

Nobody believed he lost his cool.

It must have been animated. Not really him.

Because he was mummified 10 years before :)

If you are silent about all the wrong doings of his party - you are not a good human being - you are silently supporting the wrong doings.

    You got me thinking!!

But all those blames against that poor old man are wrong.Media has potrayed him as a puppet...always.
But thats his personality.Even when long back he was the FM he was just this way.(Chidambaram is a big show off compared to him)
As FM he was independent but as PM he has to depend on his ministers .

Let's see the relationship forum - if the wife is ill treated by in-laws and the hubby is good natured & very silent and doesn't stop his parents ill treating his wife - would we call the hubby a good person???? he is not a show off as well.

    Smart one!!!

You have answered it yourself Googlegee

But i agree remaining silent is as good as being bad but the position of PM in our democracy is powerless. And president is the weakest. And thats the reason Pranab mukherjee was made a President ....to silence him

but he can't be called a good human being.

a good natured person is only good to himself - self-centered.

a good human being is the one who is good to others as well.

hence MMS is not a good human being.

Each position comes with some authority be it in office or politics.

If you don't exercise that right then you are totally unfit for the job.

You can be a nice boss and authoritative. But you can just not be only a nice boss. Productivity, Performance go for a toss.
