Pls Suggest Good Ib Schools In Chennai

    Dear members,

    I am an old member here and posting after a long time. We are planning to relocate by end of this year to Chennai.

    My daughter is 13 years 9th grade and currently in international school with IB curriculum. We are looking specifically for IB curriculum schools in Chennai. Location of the school is not a problem as we are planning to rent nearby. She can join the school in Chennai from January 2025. Is admission even possible at this stage ?

    Please guide me and suggest some good IB schools to consider in Chennai.

    National public school(NPS), lalaji memorial omega International school. NPS offers both icse and ib. There is a fb group called return to India chennai. You can join there and get more info.

    Most international schools in India offer IB curriculum only for the 11th & 12th Grades. 9th & 10th grades most of them follow IGSCE (Cambridge) curriculum. Not really sure how kids would adjust to a challenging curriculum like IB in the final 2 years??? Probably the Cambridge framework is pretty much aligned to the same learning method as IB!

    Viswa Sir has given a great link to popular schools in Chennai. To add to it, you may also want to checkout KC High International school in Navalur, MCTM Chidambaram Chettiyar International School in Mylapore and Chettinad Sarvaloka International School in Kelambakkam.

    Most of these International schools seem to offer year-round admissions similar to schools in US.
