Playschools/Creche/Day Care Centers in Velachery

Hi ladies,

I have a doubt regarding this Day care and Play group formalities.

Say me being a working mom and would like to engage a kid around 12 - 18 months old


1. do they fit into day care category or creche?

2. When i browsed few sites like kanchana paati, they say day cares take care of them from 8am - 8pm.Is it strictly so, or can we have a flexi timing like, only in morning or only in noon session and so on? I am not sticking to that day care alone, just need to know the general policy.

3. Can a guardian or parent visit them during the day care hours?

4. Approximately how much does this cost per month?

5. Do they follow a strict period of admission like schools? Say we should pay fee for 1 full year or one quarterly like taht or is it renewed on monthly basis?

As u have many playschool in and around velachery, it is totally depends on the play school which u select. As it is different from each and every play school.

As u said u have Kanchana Patti, A School (Chettinadu Foundation), Roots to Wings, Maple Bear Canadian School etc stuff.........

But the timing (neither for playschool nor for creche) it depends, u have to check with each and every school and decide on which one suits for u.

Some of the playschools r strict in their timings. Regarding guardian visiting during school hours, i don't think they allow.

So everything depends on the place u select.

Chk and enroll ur kid in a gud and proper environment.

I have a 8 months old boy. I have to return to work. I am looking for a good creche near velachery, taramani and perungudi.

I heard Kanchana patti is not hygenic, couldnt find any creches near by.
Please suggest.

I was referred to Kanchana paati by one of my collegue.. and put my daughter who was almost 23months old at Kanchana Paati - lambert Nagar.

They have approx 10kids for after school and 1- baby for creche..

As far as hygene etc is concerned my daughter has never fallen sick.. they given them boiled water to drink etc.. and the staff there are also very caring.. they infact observe each and every activity of the child and let keep us giving feed backs on them..

Every day care will definately have some drawbacks.. but as far i thinks unless our kids and happy and healthy we should be convinced..

I chose KP (kanchana paati) becoz food is cooked fresh, they inform us what food is given to the child, they have a weekly meal plan.. right from morning brunch, Lunch, milk, with eveninh snacks.. if we wish to send some snacks that also they feed the kids..
