I have got an offer for 15000 AED per month for an assignment in Abu Dhabi. The assignment is for six months initially and may get extended subsequently based on the performance. What would be the average monthly expenses for a single, pure vegetarian? I have to manage my accommodation, conveyance and food within 15K Can i accept the offer? If so, how much I can save. I want to save for my daughter's marriage.
15k per month is decent salary for UAE standards. Abu Dhabi in particular, rent is quite high. Maybe you could look for sharing the apartment with a co worker but be careful, laws are rigid and strict here but look out since it's a limited time frame. Depending on where you would want to stay, you could look for studio apartments too. Travel by public transportation, that is buses is cheaper than taxis etc. There's no dearth for vegetarian restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Also, for vegetarians, day to day cooking expenditures are also less. Since it's short term, you would want to save asap, so cooking one pot meals, once a day should help. Welcome to Abu Dhabi
All over you will find Indians. Mussafah, muroor, tca, airport road etc etc. Also many Indians live in a place called discovery gardens on the outskirts of Dubai and travel to and fro to Abu Dhabi daily. But bus drive is 2 hours one way.
Since you will be here without family, it will be better for you to choose a location close to your workplace. Your company might have transport facilities as well. Choose a location according to that. Indians you will find in all areas. Veg restaurants as well. 15k is a decent salary. good luck to you
