Places to visit with toddler in bay area

    Hi..
    I have 17 months old boy...I would like to take him to some places where he can play or have fun...I heard about oakland zoo...but I dont whether its good for kids or not..
    can some one suggest me some good places to take my kid....

    oakland zoo is nice and I am sure he will enjoy it. closer to fremont there is ardenwood farm, they have a petting zoo there which is very much enjoyed by kids. my 2 year old loved it when we took him there on memorial day weekend.

    in san jose there is happy hollow zoo.

    we also like lake elizabeth in fremont - it's quite close to my house infact. they have a lot of birds there, and the play structures are very very nice too.

    at 17 months he is a bit young for the museums, but california academy of sciences in sfo and the monterey bay acquarium are nice to visit.

    thanks for your quick reply...this weekend we will take him to zoo..

    we take him to elizibeth lake evry week...its nearby our place...also I am looking for kids rides place...last weekend there was kidsland in fremont for 2days but by the time I came to know it was over

    You can try happy hollow park & zoo in sanjose, they've lot of rides for toddlers, puppet show, also a zoo.. worth for kids

    I heard that gilroy gardens is also the best place for kids.....

    we have been to Gilroy Gardens last weekend...my 17 month boy had lot of fun....good place for toddlers...many rides for toddlers.....my boy enjoyed all the toddler rides....there was a deal last weekend so we payed onnly 12$/ person

    What about story time at near by libraries. You get meet moms like you. It is free and short. You cna pick up some books too . Kid scan develop reading habits.

    I take my 17 months boy to Fremont Library for baby counce classes but nowadays he is not at all sitting in the class..he is running out of the class and he takes all the books off the shelves....I don't know whether only my son does this or all kids at this age do the same...
