Amrita, Thanks for reminding me about India gate. I heard that Taj mahal glows (pink color) in the sun light. Sushma, Thanks for adding details about India gate. With all these informations, I think I dont need a tourist guide. I'll be a guide to my family.:crazy :cheers to all. Keep exploring unknown parts of Delhi.
I have visited the Red Fort a number of times during my childhood. We stayed in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1lace>Delhi</st1lace></st1:City> and whenever relatives and friends visited us from any part of the country, we accompanied them on sight-seeing tours. The Red Fort was a must-visit place every time and listening to what the tourist guide had to say, again and again, I almost learnt everything about Red Fort by heart. Shah Jahan had started the construction of Red Fort in 1638 and it was completed in 1648. The fort was originally known as “Qila-i-Mubarak”, which means the blessed fort, as it was the home of the royal family.
