hi aishu22, You will be surprised at the number of temples that are scattered around chennai...and also lot of other places around chennai. I am compiling this not only for you..but because of you it has got into this site and is for ready reference to all.... Will post more as i read.... Dearest Shanvy &fellow Ilites, I wanted to thank Shanvy a.k.a Shanthi whole heartedly for her informative posts about temples in and around chennai.It was most helpful for me Shanthi. I visited the following places: Singaperumal Kovil,Chettipunyam,Thiruvannamalai. We stayed at Hotel Thrisul (as given by you).It was a great stay.The rooms were most comfortable and excellent food too.Thanks to you. From Thiruvannamalai, we went to Vellore SRIPURAM Temple(Lakshmi Narayani kovil), Sholinghur and finally visited Thirutani too.Had good Dharshan in all temples. It was a great trip!! Hi, I saw this thread just now only. Wow, very informative... I like to visit places... but not very familiar with places in and around Chennai... I have visited Thiruvatriyur Vadivudaiamman Temple, Mylapore Kapaleeshwara Temple, the beaches (Marina and the Elliots Beach), St.Thomas Mount and Guindy National Park in Chennai...
