City Island Harrisburg PA... Its just small place that u can walk or take a train ride to see around...

Cunningham falls,Maryland .. Maryland Department of Natural Resources
u can trek(both easy&hard trails r there),in the park grills r available(BBQ)
I was visited these places last summer.
Then in NJ Sandy hook beach ...
Bushkill falls .. u can trek,wild life watch

Try visting Sri Ranganatha Swami Temple,Pomona,NY.

Abount 60 miles from Edison.

Very nice and serene temple.

Hi Anitha,

My suggestion is plan it on two different day, orelse it willbe very difficult to cover keeping infant...

No personel experience abt Bushkills, but regarding Long wood gardens, plan any place during morning , by lunch time visit gardens till evening you can have nice time.

Then after 7p.m they start fireworks, goes till late...they will be little crowd...go and sit early in one place..


I went to Hershey chocolate factory, it is good to visit...details in one day trip thread i have given, but no idea distance between this chocolate factory and gardens...you check those in net pa.

you can go to atlantic city in nj, hersheys park and vraj temple in pa.

I may not take baby with us. He is just 4mon old and he will be at home wiht my in laws.. Its me & dh who is planning to visit alone..

Ya I do feel the same. I think garden, bushkills in 1day will be tough.. PLus, hus friend is in PA who is in india so once he comes back we will visit PA

We have heard about atlantic city.. but my hus says only gamling is there what to enjoy like.. do you know any good things to see there? let me know.. how far from jersey city?

yeah may be 1-1 1/2 hr drive... we went to non commercial beach area.
I dnt know the exact place ...(total beach length is 6 miles)

Note: In that place u cant find anything other than beach.no shops,snack places,no trash cans,rest room which is not neat... so bring ur eatables..enjoy the beach.

Atlantic city .. its all casinos(mini lasvegas).Board walk is there ..you can walk around all casinos...If u r not interested in casinos its just buildings&lights to watch thats it.I went during winter so i cudnt see the beach (its dark out there).I dnt know abt summer.
