    tomato – 1
    toor dal(kandipappu) - 1/2 cup cooked
    green chillie – 2
rasam powder – 2 tsp (roast 3 red chillie, 1 tsp peppercons, 2 tbspn coriander seeds, 2 tsp cumin seeds and make a fine powder)
    water – 4.5 cups
    salt – 1.5 tsp
    oil – 3 tsp
    mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
    cumin – 1/2 tsp
    garlic – 4 cloves
    turmeric – 1/4 tsp
    curry leaves – 2 sprigs
    cilantro – 6 sprigs

    Method:

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard, cumin, garlic, turmeric, curry leaves, slit green chillies and saute them. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till soft. Now add 3 chopped pineapple pieces into tomatoes and cook for 3 mins. Mix water, salt and cook until the water boils.

Add cooked toor dal and cook for 2 mins, mix rasam powder, and cook for 1 min. Take 2 pineapple pieces and make a puree of it and mix it in rasam to form a slightly thick consistency. Add chopped cilantro and cook for 2 mins and remove from flame. Quick, tasty sweet n sour spicy rasam is ready. Enjoy!!!
