HI, The topic which i have raised here could have made u all a little bit confused! My son is 4 yrs old and now a days he is too naughty and making problems to have his regular foods. Can anybody help me out in this matter. He neglects his food and and we are utterly confused how to feed him, can anybody suggest wht sort of foods does these kutties likes how do u all manage in giving foods to the kids?? Give me a chart, wht to provide and wht would the kids prefer?? He looks very lean even though providing all kinds of healthy foods like badams, nuts etc. which makes us sleepless. We are much worried abt his health. But he is very very active and does the worlds naughtiest things. :idea suggest????? Saishrudhi

Hi, naughtiness is common during this stage for kids. if he is healthy then you need not worry abt his health i donot know much but what i do for my kid i suggest lots of milk chocolates and milk drinks. give him variety of food per meal which involve a vegetable, fruits,calcium , protein and a junk. even if he taste few mouth its enough for him because there are more thing for him to eat . if you want him to put weight then i suggest this, soak badam overnight grind coconut milk with badam and ask him to drink early morning instead of regular milk. this food is olden days one given for kids to make them fat it is very healthy one too good for bones and brain development. with regards, rupa.
Hi Saishrudi, My kid is the same. He is lean and very small for his age. But when i asked the doctor he said, 'as long as your kid is running around and giving you headaches, you dont have to worry. They will eat when they want. It is enough if they are healthy not necessarily chubby.' So these days i dont force him for anything. But i used to make dosas in the shape of his fav animal or whatever shape he asks me. Thats one way to make him eat. Just make sure your kid eat veggies and fruits regularly. The kids usually dont avoid Banana and apple. So it should be fine as long as he is healthy.
