    thanks for stepping in here. and am happy you liked all the pictures.. there are more, will post them and it is true about oman, every thing is different.I have seen three gulf countries and i find oman is different.

    Will tell FIL the same . my list of places in chennai and around is growing so fast, that i need more time to list them..and then i have to think about seeing...check out the travel column in the hindu.

    hi some more snaps here...

    1. it is a coconut grove in salalah..reminds of kerala isn't it.

    2. I was going out and saw this two gentlemen under the shade it was above 50 degrees that day..the chatting and the shade should have been too intresting.

    3. I always Bowthese guys who work 12/1 6hours 7 days come summer/winter and get to see their families once in 2 /3 years.At the same time i appreciate the oman ministry which takes so much interest in the welfare of the workers..where as in india Rant

    4. The local boys enjoying the summer holidays.

    5. The gate museum. most of the intersections have interesting statues, or a fountain. the roads are said to be the cleanest after singapore..not sure...you can see the people who come and sweep the roads clean on bikes. and the same person will be the first one to throw garbage when he steps into india...(double standards???)
