Thank you so much for sharing this information. This helps a lot. Even though I am in US i would like to deposit and save money for my parents and for us in future. All i know is wanted to invest/save but don't know how and in what but this post really really helped me get started.
Not everyone know what the abbriviations are..... I would appriciate, in future, when anyone uses abbraviation can you please describe it or give the full form (atleast once) so we can google it. Once again thank you

    dear Bharati,
It is available in ICICI. If you have internet access available for your account, you can directly do it online. No need to go to branch as well.

    KEEP A BUDGET
A great way to help save money is to create a budget, and then stick to it. Even by just tracking where the money is going, you will be more aware of your spending habits, and eliminate unnecessary spending.

    DO ONLINE PRICE COMPARISON
Check prices online before making any large purchases. Online prices are very competitive, and by checking prices online first, you will know if buying at your local store makes sense or not.
    PREPARE MEALS AT HOME
Instead of eating breakfast on the way to work, try eating breakfast at home instead. Also, make your own lunch at home and bring it with you to work. It is amazing how much money you will save by preparing your own meals
