Person Has Medicare Plus Insurance - How To Get Lower Cost Brand Name Meds

Someone I know is on Medicare plus another Health Insurance. She is taking Brand Name Synthroid 90-days, 100 mcg. If she takes Generic, it makes her health worse.

Price is skyrocketing. In 2019 it was $115, 2020 is was $120, this year it is $130.

Any ideas. Insurance only says "sorry" and without them it would be $300.

You can contact the manufacturer and tell them you can't afford it or check their website for the copay assistance program, bridge program, or discount cards. You need to fill out some forms and if you qualify they will give you coupons/discounts or copay card or they will put in some patient assistance program or free drugs till your insurance make the decision or if you have no insurance, or if your insurance is covering a negligible portion of that drug cost. Some manufacturers ask about your income, some may not.
