    Persian Bazar of Self-help.

The world is full of advisers. It’s like a shopping mall where everything you need is on show, negotiable- buy one get one free. It’s like a food court where you can taste to decide whether to buy or not.

Take any subject - life, fear, greed, marriage, family, society, forgiveness, aging, friendship- and there is a wide range of choices one can pick up from the Bazar.

Are there buyers? Yes and no. Some feel benefited, and some feel cheated. The promised remedy is overemphasized for maximum profit.

Take, for example, relationships. One can find millions of write-ups suggesting how to improve personal relations in family or society. These are counselors who introduce you to the problems and advise you to get in touch for a one-to-one appointment charging hefty fees. There are magazines that give you initial glimpses and invite you to be a member or a subscriber.

    Does it help? Perhaps.

The other way is to start your self-help process by acknowledging and accepting that there is a problem. Maybe the root cause of the problem is you. Having spent considerable time judging others, you have forgotten to judge yourself. Once you reach that stage, solutions are clearly visible to you. There is no need to visit the Persian Bazar.

Once you read and implement the advice, there is no need to read similar write up on this subject.,
