Hi, I have PCOD problem and I will not get my periods in date. It may extent till 45 to 60 days and am odesity also. For my height i should be 64 Kgs but now am 76 Kgs. Now I am pregnant for 8 weeks. I have identified this in my 6th week and before that I used to play shuttle also. I have seen in some websites saying miscarriage is possible if a women has PCOD and Odbesity. I am afraid of this. Please help me out in this. How i can reduce the risk of miscarriage?
Congratulations for your pregnancy. Did you visited gyn and got consultation? Now I am sure you would have stopped playing shuttle. No weight lifting and heavy work till 12 weeks of your pregnancy. You can go walking in normal pace(you should not feel uneasy to breath). Take care about body heat as summer has already started. Whenever you feel like body heat is more, apply castor oil on lower stomach and also drink butter milk. Since you have PCOD already cut down sugar intake in any form, sweets and fruit juices. You can eat fruits till Dr advices you further on that. Stop coffee and tea(all types of tea). Dont keep on thinking about miscarriage(its not that easy to follow, I was in complete fear till 12 weeks). Divert yourself so that dont keep on thinking about it(hobbies, reading etc.) Dont stand for long time, if you have to cook put chair in kitchen and sit whenever you dont need to stand. I have written whatever I followed. Sure many ladies will give good advices. I was 78 kgs with PCOS when I got conceived. So dont worry. God is with you. Pray god heartfully and enjoy the pregnancy period. All the best:thumbsup
Thanks Anu for the tips. I will follow this. I Had consultation with Doctor and she told me that cysits is not a problem so not to worry about that now. Is that our sleeping position also will affect baby now?
Dont sleep on your stomach. Till 4th month lying on back will not be a problem. Once your tummy grows, you wont be able to sleep on your back:hiya. But always on sleeping on sides is good, especially left side sleeping allows good blood circulation to baby. From that time you can start sleeping on sides. From 6th month(by this time your anomaly scan would have been over, so Dr will advice you), for changing your sleeping side you should get up, change the side and continue sleeping:hide:. This is because the umbilical cord might get around baby's neck if you change side while lying itself:bonk.
Hi priya, I too have PCOD. I was given "proluton depot" injection every week till i was 16 weeks...i came to know that this injection is given to ppl who the docs think can have chances of miscarriage..this most certainly avoids miscarriage...talk to ur doc abt it...
