Good post Swaran... Good proverb Sowmya. The other version of this which I've heard is ஏழை சொல் அம்பலம் ஏறாது
Hi all, It is indeed an interesting thread. I have heard of the below saying, but till now I don't know the actual meaning. Let me know if any one has heard this. செல்லம் சினுங்குதாம் வாசப்படி வழுக்குதாம்
I got reminded of another one. I used to ask a lot of questions to my mom when I was kid. When she gets irritated with me she used to reply back like this: ஊரென்ன ஊறுகாய் பேரென்ன பேரிக்காய்
Dear Sanguineme, glad to see a post in this thread after a loong time..thanks semma comedy a irukku kekka all your pazhamozhis... but seriously no idea what it means...but would love to know the meaning... can somebody help????
Hi Swaran, Thanks for the likes Bow As I had told earlier, I still don't know the meaning of the first saying. We used to tell that in our friends gang. We would comment on each other like that without any meaning while we are chatting. We tried coming up with meaning, asked all paatis but no luck. We just thought that this could mean அசடு வழியுறது. Not sure if this is right. The second one is just a words out of irritation. Just putting a full stop. If u try n tell this out, u will realize. There can be no questions beyond these questions. Try it with any kid.
Hi dearies..... After a long time in this thread..... Sanguine.....nice one yaar....... Swaran........same feeling here....... Hope somebody comes with the meaning.......till then let us keep it as asadu vazhiyardhu...... Here's one அகல கால் வைக்காதே.... Don't keep broad steps ...( in life ) In the old tamil movie "Bhama vijayam"......TS Baalayyaa would say this in a beautiful tone.......and hearing this the young couples at home would keep short, small steps......:rotfl
