Past one year

Dear friends,
Its more than an year i submitted my post here but i never missed to read other posts in IL. I was under treatment for an year and I am back to my normal life with God's grace and Doctor's support.

I was taking treatment for hormone imbalance and infertility in Middle East. When i was tested with new medicine, i started developing severe stomach pain. Doctors initially said that it would have been bcoz of the new medicine, gastritis, acidity etc etc and was under pain killer drugs for nearly four months. My condition deteriorated day by day. Every alternate days I will be in hospitals only for my stomach pain. Then I came to India to continue my treatment. I was admitted in a famous hospital in chennai. It took three weeks for them to diagonise, but at last they found that there was a cyst in my small intestine. They removed the cyst and when it was sent for biopsy, they diagonised it as cancer. This shaked our whole family. My husband went in search of many doctors specialised in this field. With God's grace, he found out a best doctor. My doctor and his team, took good care of me. He suggested a new treatment along with chemotherapy. Its called TARGET THERAPY. Though it was very very costly, my husband accepted for it and i was under the treatment for nearly six months continuously. Not even a week passed without visiting hospital, drips, all side effects on its way.

During the course of treatment, Doctor advised for a PET scan which showed some positive results. On completion of TARGET THERAPY along with chemo six cycles, i was advised for another PET scan which also came out well. I can say that waiting for the scan result (one full day) was the most tensed stage of life. Even though i tried my level best to deviate, i could not resist thinking about it. With the grace of God and my family's support, I crossed that stage and now I am back to my normal life, ofcourse with periodical check ups, nutritious diet etc.

Though that was the toughest period, it made many positive changes in me. I started leading a fresh life, even if i see a flower or something beautiful, i look at it wholeheartedly, as if i am seeing it for the first time / last time, every day / every moment i start afresh. I have become more courageous, more positive and more affectionate to people. One thing which striked me strongly is, NOTHING IS PERMANENT IN THIS WORLD, every minute of our life is important.

I started reading positive articles about this complaint. I dont lend my ears towards negative incidents. Sometimes when i become down about my physical changes, side effects etc, I tried to deviate with the help of Sri. Velukudi Krishnanji's spiritual discourse. I cannot describe in words for the change that his voice made in me. Also my brother in law shared about Shirdi Baba's miracles. Since then my husband became sincere devotee of Baba. Baba really takes care of our life if we surrender to him wholeheartedly.

I should be thankful to God always for giving me a new life, for giving such a good husband, loving mother and sisters who stood by me, supported me by all means. My husband spent so many lakhs for me, he sold his loving car for my treatment. When i used to feel for this stage of life, he convinced me saying "more than money, car etc, u r important for me". I understood that I should not ask God "why this disease for me", instead "thank God for giving such a good life for me". Without this life (my husband), I wouldn't have survived at all.

why I am sharing this is mainly for others who are diagonised with his problem. A counseling team is working in Apollo 24x7 for this. the head of this team wrote "if you are diagonised with this, dont get panic because you will not die immediately. Its like other diseases which can be treated and cured if handled positively". I took inspiration from this line, Mamta Mohandas and so many. Thanks to all who gave me confidence. Friends, if you come across anybody who was diagonised with this complaint, speak to them positively, friendly. God is there to take care of all of us.


Few things which i would like to record here is,
1. The hospital in which i was first admitted in chennai squeezed money from us in the name of tests, scans etc. From my records, they understood that I am from Middle East and so the billing was special!!!!!
2. The blood tests which i took a day before i was admitted to hospital were all ignored, and i was asked to take the same tests again their hospital.
3. In the name of emergency, we seek medical support. I request respectable Doctors / hospitals, pls dont take advantage of their emergency situation.
