Paragard (iud) For Birth Control

    Hello Ladies,

    Please let me know your experience with Paragard IUD (ie. non-hormonal). Do you do the monthly string checks after every periods? Did you see any changes in your periods the first 3 months of using IUD? Were you able to exercise normally immediately after IUD in place..

    I wanted to go for perm birth control methods but my DH asked me not to go for perm as we never know of the side effects plus there could be wt gain etc so I'm planning to try IUD first... in case it fails, then will go for perm.

    Please share.
