    Hi! Chandana,

Thanks for your compliments. In this thread,in my previous messages,I've given the method of my painting.U need a cotton cloth (cutain lining material) washed and ironed for this purpose. Then take a pencil and draw any pattern you want on the cloth and then start painting with the colours of your choice. It needs a lot of patience,to draw a picture and then to organise the colours etc.It dries very fast. Then when the painting is ready,pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees and fold the cloth in such a way that the design is inside folded.Bake it for 10-15 mins in the oven.Take it out and ready to use.Or else u can iron it on the reverse side for 10-15 mins.

    More later.

    Bye,

    Asha

    Hi Asha,

Thank you so much for explaining once again to me. After me writing to you, i noticed that you had posted on how to do fabric painting to someone. since i was new to this and didn't know how to go round and explore. Thank you so much! you have so much have patience, oh! ya, that is why you paint so beautifully.

By the way, where to get the african designs. i love it. I've also done fabric painting but that was some 13 years back using acrylic on devi silk (cloth). a picture of north eastern woman and some primate men dancing around the fire. now almost forgotten the procedures. the paintings are not as good as yours. please give me ur website url. i would like to visit and see all ur paintings. can i copy some of the designs for my own use??

    with warmth,
    chandana

    Hi!Chandana,

Like Rajasthani paintings,African paintings too can be done. It's difficult to give the patterns as such. But if you can see from my drawings and do it,it's absolutely fine.I've downloaded all the patterns which I've done from my webpage onto this thread. Some designs are free hand some I've used ruler to make straight lines and also masking tape while painting.

All colours which I've used are my choice based on the contrast and colour schme.

Anything else u want to know,pl do write to me.

    Regards,
    Asha:wave
