    Hi Asha,

Superb !!! U r a maestro in this field. I really want to learn from you. I also do, but know only the basics, not an expert in shading and all like this.

If you don't mind can u give me your personal id and web address. I really want to learn a lot from you.

    Hi! Triza,

U r most welcome to ask any questions. To do any shading in Fabric painting,I use little bit of extender and then start with light colours and then go on to darker shades. You start with extender which is a colourless thick liquid. It helps in spreading the colour easily. Then start with little yellow colour and then move on to orange and then red.Similarly from cream to light brown and then dark brown.U need to be very clear abt your pattern.Draw it on the cloth with pencil and then use a waterproof permanent fabric marker if you need to highlight the lines properly.Or you can also use outliners for fabric. When U r in India,pl do visit hobby ideas. We learn a lot from there. It's really a nice place to hang around. But wen u get carried away,u end up spending a lot there. It's a store worth visiting.I shall send you an invitation to c my paintings. But ALL are already shared here on this thread. If I have time tomorrow,I shall click more fotos and shall send more pics.I really didn't have time last few weeks. Its been busy.

You take care and feel free to write to me.

    Ciao for now.

    Regards,

    Asha:2thumbsup: :tongue

    Hi! Sathya,

    Thanks for your appreciation.

U will be really surprised with the kind of art available all over africa. I'm sure u must be well aware of the wooden masks available here. But there is so much to learn and to learn so much in a life time is immpossible.Do go thru my earlier correspondence on this thread.I've spoken of ribbon art, millifiorie, then there is decoupage, ribbon art, scrapbook etc. Some of them I've not even heard in India. These are the ones I need to learn and bring it back home.

I'll include a lot more of my work soon.

    Enjoy.:-D
