Beginner Artist

I posted this thread here as its do do with painting but also drawing aswell!

Well i have joined the forum for some time now, and i always visit the hobbies and art section and have been very inspired by everyone work. I always had an interest in art (painting and drawings), but never had the chance to put this into action.

But i need some help from you ladies!
Being a beginner i need to understand everything about the different types of paints, strokes, different things used such as materials other than paintings, size of brushes, does paper material matter, what oil pastels are used for, what water color pencils are used for etc, so can you guys help me in this? It would be highly appreciated and i would be able to start something i always wanted!

 

How to make Glitter work dry without sticking?

Helo every1, Im Aparna frm Tambaram... i got benefitted in painting a saree using ur posts. I finished a saree using fabric paint with various Glitter colours.... i left the saree 2 get dry for 3 days but still the Glitter stuffs alone get [FONT=&quot]stuck with one another while folding the saree..

Btw, Im planning of doing "sarees bussiness" in future so i want to know vther i should use any special type of oil or any other stuffs 2 make the glitters dry completely.. pl help me.. I will post my saree designs asap..

Water poster colors

Hi,

I am starting water colors painting classes. And I want to use water poster colors. Is that fine. Or should I use on acrylic water colors. Could anyone suggest me, how to go about.
