Re: Can I use Acrylic paint on bamboo?

    HI sunitha :hiya
you can use the acrylic paints directly on the bamboo mats or any other surface provided they do not have a varnish coating on them! i would also suggest you to use an acrylic/ varnish spray on the painted mat as you would possibly like to wash the dinner mats often, it also protects your painting!
please do paint on the mats and post your creations!:thumbsup

    Re: tile painting

    hello magerat
you can use fevicol on the tile and stick it on the hardboard how much big you want to make, and once it dries you can paint it easily. i had done tile painting nearly 20 years back.

    Re: Glass painting instructions

    hi
i would like to share with you what i know abt glass painting.
    reverse glass painting
in this method you can use oil paint or acrylic paint and you will ahve to do the details first followed by the shading.
which needs real practice and time.
normally every one is doing simple glass painting. using out liner and glass colours.
stained glass painting is also difficult. in that the process is little difficult.
first we need different colour stained glasses then break it in to pieces and fix it with some chemical ( i dont know what it is i guess its zinc) to form the desired image or shape.
    hope its clear to u
    regards
    ani

    Re: Glass painting instructions

    Hi,
    Thanks for help.
So what is painting with liner and colors called?
In that type, should we do the smaller details first(like for reverse glass, we need to do eyes first, then face etc.) or can it be done anyway?

    Re: Glass painting instructions

the one we do with liner is just glass painting.
no need of details first in that. u can do anyway. and also framing u can frame either the painted part facing inside or outside.
facing outside will be moe attractive. but make sure that it will not come in contact with water. or any liquid or scratch.
if u are not satisfied with anyof ur work. u can apply water on it and it will easily come off.
then u can reuse the glass piece,
    regards

what i know about glass painting instructions are as follows

Trace the figure[reverse figure] on the glass

First ,wherever jewels, pearls[ for pearls white paint] comes u have to finish first, and then eyes ,lipstick and eyebrow[for krishna namam] then finally u should do body paint [on the jewels, pearls and eyes eyebrow . then for hair black paint.
