    for glass painting we get it in two types of medium. one is water based and another one solvent based.....the water based is best used by children which is not that harmful... but the solvent based is best used by artists as it remains for ever.....the water based ones will go off when u wash or wipe off the paintings.... hope i am clear.

    Newbie Glass Painting Basics

    Hi,

    I am inerested in learning glass painting and have started to put together a small shopping list. I have found a very useful website Himalaya Fine Art Hope some of you will find it useful.

    But this website confused me - so many to choose from!!!

    Appreciate your assistance with basic items required for a Newbie like me.

    Also where in Trivandrum could I buy all these. I tried some shops but they do not seem to have much choice.

    I have used only 2 varities.
    one is crackle medium and other is glass etching.
    Craclemedium gives crack effect and etching we can do any number of works in glass.
    What else??????
