Unfortunately, no. Varloo, we introduced the gift subscription along with the paid PM subscription to facilitate the paying member to get a friend of theirs also into the system. That way they see more value. Also, some members want to make use of the gift subscription to help those members who are desperate to have PM access to contact someone within IL. Hope you will also be able to make use of gift subscription for either of it. It gets difficult for us to administer too many exceptions! Thanks.
A poor decision!!! This is the first time i am seeing a forum that has paid PM feature... I accept that maintaining such a huge forum is very difficult. That's because the entire forum structure has been categorized such way. One more difficulty would be centralized way of running the whole forum which is happening here... From my POV, the number of active members will go down.

Dear Malathy, as an alternative to IL's who don't want to subscribe to the paid PM facility, you can introduce a dress pin with IL logo that will help us identify the IL's if we happen to meet somewhere. This can be offered at a much lesser price than the paid PM. The IL cap is great but cannot be worn with certain attires. My:my2cents
Hi Usha, Dress pin seems to be a good idea. I need to explore the possibility of making it and also how I can offer it for purchase? I agree it would go well with any attire as opposed to cap. But tell me how many ILites would wear it day-to-day wherever they go to be identified by a co-IL'ite? I am not sure how it would be an alternative for Paid PM facility (which is meant for communicating privately with a co-IL'ite).
Dear Malathy, I was thinking more on the lines for IL's to wear it for local gatherings or cultural events in one's own locality. This way thay could exchange contact information and stay in touch. It could also be a good advertising tool to bring in more members. I agree it will only work if one wears it. For IL's desirous to communicate with other IL's across the globe, paid PM may be the way to go.
Usha, I love the idea too. Quite fancy! Malathy, I agree, it may not be a alternative to PM facility, but it sure is a good option to be introduced. For example, I would love to buy one and probably present a couple to my close friends - thereby, marketing IL. Here, I have to say - the dresspins need to be a attractive keepsake, and not necessarily a acessory to sport! JMO! Arch
I've just seen the actual announcement(s) & a couple of related posts it would have been great if we had a 25$ life time Basic PM system ... btw , see this thread - link appears to be broken [thread=72547]here[/thread] :-(
Hi Raagini, There might be enhancements coming up to the PM system and at that time we would make it available in different packages. Hence we did not think about making a life time offer. Thanks for pointing out the broken link. Got it fixed now.
