Outcome of a boring lecture

    Sitting in my class , with my eyes half closed , i was pleasantly dreaming about ... i donno wat!. The loud shrieking bell woke me... its then i realized that the last hour has come ... atlast. But i was no way near happy. The professor entered and the class begun. My eyes were wide open and my dreams... they were gone!! but my irritation was mounting that i felt like shouting!!! His lectures are the most boring ones i have ever heard , partly because he never let us sleep . He never even lets the class at the other end of the corridor sleep. Thanks to his 'exceptional' way of speaking!!!:rant

    So the outcome of his lecture is something you will find below .I m sorry to say that i couldnt find a name for what i ve written . I wanted it to be a poem... but due to restrictive imagination and lack of rhythymic words in English(seriously...:!:)... I ended up with this.....:hide:

    "His eyes told me everything
    The end has come - oh my God!!
    The end has really come
    Memories came flooding back....
    The day I first met him,
    He threw my life topsy turvy
    I knew he is the one...
    To always be there for me - unconditionally
    To always love me for what I am
    The days we had soo much fun
    Figthing for the last bit of chocolate
    Walking under the clouded moon light
    Sleeping all through the morning
    And many more.....
    Years have passed...
    He looks the same to me
    But does he feel the same ?
    I don't think so
    I looked at his eyes.. again
    No!! Its not the same....
    I patted his head affectionately
    He gave a soft short yelp
    And closed his eyes....
    Tears trickled down my face
    I din't care to stop them
    He gave me so much for nothing
    The least I can do is shed few tears for him
    Few tears for my beloved dog........"

    P.S : I have 'written' loads... in my head.... This is the first time i am actually writing it down!!

    This is a lovely snippet so well written. Your poem had me guessing at first I thought it was going to be your professor then thought some one else and finally yout pet.
    Pets are indeed so special. They always are around expecting nothing but giving so much more.
    Must have been really difficult when he close his eyes.. tears trickling down your face tells us that.
    And what a sweet memory to fall back on right?!

    Eagerly waiting to read your "loads" of wonderful snippets written in your head. I would not use the word tolerate to describe your snippet . Its been a real sweet treat for me. Thanks for sharing :)
