    We are planning to have satyanarayana vrat at home and searched for puja mandap but couldn't find any. Can you share with us how you guys build the mandap? It is so gorgeous.

    Hi Swapna,

    Thanks for the compliment. My husband made the entire wooden frame work by buying materials from home depot. He used tools from black and becker. We decided on the size and the height we needed.

    First her built the whole outside setup and then constructed the steps inside.

    I bought silk materials from Joann fabrics and instead of nailing them or leaving them loose, I bought the glue shot gun from Joann's and glued the material to the wooden. Use a normal cotton material on the base and glue it. then put the silk cloth over the cotton and glue it.

    We bought all the decorative materials like bells, etc from joann.
