Opinion Or Advise To Better-half

During those days when I was newly married, my wife used to take my opinion about choosing dresses for a function.

During first instance, I took a peach color dress from her wardrobe as she requested my advise. She had to decline the suggestion because she did not have matching sandals with that dress.

I took a teal blue saree , she had to decline because she didn't have matching blouse.

I took a maroon dress, she declined because she didn't have matching nail paint.

Green color dress had to be declined because of being tight.

A few more were declined because she didn't have matching lipstick, handbag, bangles, jewellery or something else. If everything was available then she could decline because that dress wasn't matching with the car that we were supposed to drive to the function.

In short, after wasting my half in hour, she wore what she had originally planned to wear.

After a few such incidents, I confronted her “why do you even ask for my opinion when you have to wear what you have already decided?”.

She said “so that you do not feel that I do not take your opinion”.

After that incident, I started ignoring her requests of taking my opinion especially about her wardrobe. I keep working on my laptop & tell her how beautiful she looks, without even looking at her. Her request of opinion doesn't mean anything.

Thanks . The pricking feel at nerve ends of fingers greatly diminished but that is due to less use of ipad/android phone. Holding the gadget for long at a stretch results in pain and pricking. Regards.
