Online Marriage Counselor

    Hi ladies,

    Could you recommend any online marriage counselor based in India? Going through anxiety and panic attacks and need someone to talk to badly. Much appreciate your help!

    The ideal counselor would be one who practices in a traditional setting and also offers online counseling. Just like other medical services, a provider who is solely online based will be subject to less stringent checks and guidelines. Tele-health is a rapidly growing industry but not yet established enough for strong standards to be applied.

    A few concerns with counselors who are only online could be:
    - Level of confidentiality
    - How long they retain personal information, clinical notes and recordings
    - Can your information be deleted on request. Is this confirmable?
    - What analytics information is gathered and how it is anonymized.

    There are some popular online therapy/counseling providers in the U.S. and these come with the above concerns. If I were in your position and had that urgent need to talk to an India-based counselor, I would go with what google returns. Looks like https://www.manastha.com/ and Best Online Counselling In India | HopeQure are good starting points. Getting recommendations from people in real life or here is not easy.

    Good Luck. Till you can get the help you need, try to remember that journaling, going for a walk, and meditating in any form and to any level of success can give you some relief.

    Due to covid situation, many counsellors offer online counselling through apps like skype etc. So contact counsellors in your area. Many counsellors have facebook or youtube channel or search in google.

    For immediate relief try breathing excercises or meditation.Please search for it in youtube. There are many videos on how to do it. Or try to inhale deeply through nose and exhale through mouth. Changing the venue, going out for a walk, listening to music etc can also help to reduce stress.
